Paleo 101


What is Paleo?

Paleo is a way of eating where you go back to a simpler time of eating. Non of the rubbish you find at the supermarket. We eat like our cave man ancestors. Also called the paleolithic diet (paleo), the hunter gatherer diet, the stone age diet, the caveman diet.

We eat:

  • Meat
  • Vegetables
  • Oils/fats
  • Nuts
  • Fruits

We do not eat:

  • Dairy
  • Grains
  • Legumes
  • Starchy vegetables (eg potatoes), 
  • Soft drinks
  • Lollies

Now before you say OMG. We eat like rabbits. Nothing could be further from the truth. We eat beautiful meals, day in and day out, Highly nutritious and full of energy. Ramped up for the 21st century lifestyle. I still eat cheese and bread, however it's Paleo cheese and bread.


I have only been eating this way since 25th September 2013, I have found it so hard to give up all the things I love, like bread, milk, cheese, chocolate etc... However, as I have found out. You do not have to go without. You just have to find an alternative way of getting those things.
